The special edition "Coffee with the Doctor", organized on January 18, 2025, marked a defining moment for this project. In the elegant hall of the Oradea State Philharmonic, the eight doctors who were with us in previous editions took the stage together, along with the special guest of the evening, Dr. Raed Arafat.
Thanks to Swimathon Oradea 2025, an event organized by the Oradea Community Foundation, dedicated to causes that change the community for the better, we had the honor of participating with a project that is extremely dear and necessary to us: "Track and Rescue!", an initiative aimed at purchasing a portable ultrasound machine for breast cancer screening.
For over a year, we have been organizing free medical gymnastics sessions for seniors over 55 years of age. The exercises are adapted to meet the specific needs of each participant. We meet twice a week in the friendly space of the Community, located in the Crișul Shopping Center, offering a safe and accessible environment for exercise and socializing.
Through our adult maintenance gymnastics program, we promote balance between body and mind, offering an opportunity to rediscover the joy of movement in a carefully supervised setting. The exercises, slightly more complex, are also safe and adapted to meet the needs of each participant, contributing to increased mobility and harmonious toning of the entire body.
For women in the first months of recovery after breast surgery, we have created a special medical gymnastics program, designed to support a gradual and balanced return to daily mobility. The sessions are held in groups, are free of charge and are coordinated by our physiotherapists, paying attention to the rhythm and needs of each participant.
Project with a big impact on the Oradea community, "Your posture from our posture" - is a project for the assessment of postural deformities among children aged between 8-16 years.
Through this project, the Help & Care Association conducts a screening (initial mass examination) of postural imbalances in children aged 8-16 from Oradea.
On October 3, the closing conference of this project took place at the Darvas house. The conference was attended by people from different fields but with common values. It was a "soul-warming" event.
The period included in the project was a year full of new and successful experiences.

The members of the association together with volunteers support the activity of the Pasca family in Dumbrava annually, by purchasing the necessary products for the optimal development of daily activities at the asylum. This family began to welcome homeless elders years ago. Mr. Pasca had two extra rooms, so he thought to welcome two people into his own home at first. Then two more people, and it went on until the number of people hosted reached 350 people.
The members of the association working in the medical field, in addition to financial support, have been available to several people in asylums to provide medical advice. The respect we have for the work of this family is enormous.
