Events and projects

The organization and participation in events addressed to special needs cases, individualized and objectively analyzed plays an important role in the development of Help & Care Association. Through material, emotional and educational support, we propose that these events contribute to raising awareness and supporting positive change.

"A coffee with the doctor" is a cycle of events organized by the Help & Care Association, which brings the community closer to medical professionals, in an informal, relaxed and friendly setting.

The special edition "Coffee with the Doctor", organized on January 18, 2025, marked a defining moment for this project. In the elegant hall of the Oradea State Philharmonic, the eight doctors who were with us in previous editions took the stage together, along with the special guest of the evening, Dr. Raed Arafat.

Thanks to Swimathon Oradea 2025, an event organized by the Oradea Community Foundation, dedicated to causes that change the community for the better, we had the honor of participating with a project that is extremely dear and necessary to us: "Track and Rescue!", an initiative aimed at purchasing a portable ultrasound machine for breast cancer screening.

For over a year, we have been organizing free medical gymnastics sessions for seniors over 55 years of age. The exercises are adapted to meet the specific needs of each participant. We meet twice a week in the friendly space of the Community, located in the Crișul Shopping Center, offering a safe and accessible environment for exercise and socializing.

Through our adult maintenance gymnastics program, we promote balance between body and mind, offering an opportunity to rediscover the joy of movement in a carefully supervised setting. The exercises, slightly more complex, are also safe and adapted to meet the needs of each participant, contributing to increased mobility and harmonious toning of the entire body.

For women in the first months of recovery after breast surgery, we have created a special medical gymnastics program, designed to support a gradual and balanced return to daily mobility. The sessions are held in groups, are free of charge and are coordinated by our physiotherapists, paying attention to the rhythm and needs of each participant.

Project with a big impact on the Oradea community, "Your posture from our posture" - is a project for the assessment of postural deformities among children aged between 8-16 years.
Through this project, the Help & Care Association conducts a screening (initial mass examination) of postural imbalances in children aged 8-16 from Oradea.

On October 3, the closing conference of this project took place at the Darvas house. The conference was attended by people from different fields but with common values. It was a "soul-warming" event.
The period included in the project was a year full of new and successful experiences.

One of the main directions of our activity within the project Access to a better life - Integrated services for people with disabilities is that of information. Information about disability and especially about the somatic and psychoemotional recovery of those who cross our threshold and beyond. And one way in which we were able to support the recovery of several people, by providing accurate information, was to participate in a cycle of conferences with the aim of educating oncological patients and their relatives.

A few weeks ago I went to the Bihor Locomotive Disabled Association for the first time. Here, through the project Access to a better life - Integrated services for people with disabilities, we started to hold group meetings for the psycho-emotional well-being of the beneficiaries. Our topics of discussion focused on the needs of the participants, which we already learned from the first meeting.
